Teeth! Evidently scientists think they've found a way to use stem cells to re-grow teeth in adult humans!

This is really exciting news for me. You see, I have some unexplained bone loss and some very short roots on my front 4 (well, now 3) teeth. I've already had one replaced with an implant — the metal post + fake tooth cap they describe in the article — and it's expensive, and required a bone graft and significantly more time than estimated/normal. With 3 more teeth to go, this seems like an interesting, viable option, assuming they figure out and approve the procedure before I lose my existing teeth. That said, it might be more expensive and the implant is probably a lot more sturdy than regrown teeth. Cold weather or sinus swelling or dry mouth means I can usually feel the implant ache a bit. We'll see where this goes and decide later, when I have some chance of being able to afford it anyway ;)
And can I just say: Whoa! Dudes! We live in the future!!

My brother D. and I discovered we're both using GoodReads.com (which is awesome, btw!) and so we decided to friend each other. I had attached a question to my account, asking people how they know me, because sometimes their usernames are a little obscure and they don't have a picture of themselves. I guess I'm just not in the xmas mood today. Considering I got all my presents at thanksgiving, there's not much to celebrate today other than having a day off from jobs!
I had the forethought to turn my phone to silent last night, because i KNEW there would be a million "merry xmas" texts, and I was right. However, i forgot to turn my alarms off on my phone and radio, but they didnt bother me too much.
I plan on cleaning the hell outta the apt today and getting laundry done, maybe get some groceries if the store is open.
I've gotta go check on Cam's cat I didnt do it last night, i was finally able to take a nap after work and then it was just too cold to go out again.
Maybe today she'll come out and be nice .
I have a big candy cane rawhide for Ellie that i'll give her later today when I clean up
Imma go finish watching AFV and get productive soon.
