Shopping Spree: Baby Edition

Ok, so in addition to buying all those craft type things and onesies and all of that, I also bought something else today for the baby (man, the kid isn't even here yet, and I can't help but buy stuff for him/her. This does not bode well). But I got this next thing online, from Fred Flare. It kind of reminds me a little bit of Etsy, but, not quite. Cause most of the stuff isn't as homemade looking as Etsy. But I saw these little guys on someone's blog, and decided I wanted to buy them for the baby.

I'm also sort of wanting these earrings for some strange reason, even though I don't know that I would ever actually wear them.

So, I can't decide on those. They're only $7, so part of me things like, "What the hell, I might as well get them." But, the other part of me is hesitant. Maybe I'll just wait a couple days and see how I feel.

She's Crafty

I'm so glad to be going into a long weekend right now. This week, although short, felt long. I missed a day and a half of work due to extreme nausea and throwing up. I know have some medicine that I'm supposed to take twice a day to help with that. Which it does, but it also makes me feel like passing out face down at my desk.

Today I stopped by two craft stores, Michael's and JoAnn's Fabrics, to browse around. I ended up finding some cute stuff for the baby, even though that wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I actually couldn't find what i was looking for. But, I bought a few things to do some little projects to make for the baby. Hopefully they all go well. We'll see. Some will go easier than others. Let's just say I bought stuff for knitting, and I've never attempted that in my life. So... yeah. Wish me luck on that one. I can't even decipher the instructions haha.

I've fallen in love with this one website Chasing Fireflies They have stuff that is just so adorable, it makes me hope the baby is a girl. Cause you know you get to pick out more fun outfits with a girl than a boy. But, I'm not completely letting myself hope for one over the other yet. Though I still do think it will end up being a girl. Just a little over a month and we'll find out. Can't wait.

Sigh

Today I woke up in a bit of a funk. I know I'm really not all that large. And that the large-ness I am experiencing is because an actual little baby is growing inside of me. But, damn if it isn't depressing having to pull out some old dress, that you don't even like all that much, to wear to work cause none of your jeans or regular pants fit, and you've already exhausted your collections of pants that fall under the "stretchy" category. I've gained another 1.5 pounds since my last check up. Bringing my total weight gain up to 6.5 pounds, in 3.5 months. All well within range. My doctor said about 4 pounds between each visit was ideal. So far I've managed to do ok by that. I just kind of want to get past this "is she pregnant, or did she just eat a huge bowl of pasta (or other bloat inducing food) for lunch?" stage. cause that's how I feel right now. I'm small enough that I don't necessarily look pregnant, unless you knew. I'm sure by the end of the month, I'll "pop" as they say. (which I'm really not sure how I feel about that term, to be completely honest) Until then, I'm just stuck in this in between phase I suppose.

Wedding Recap

Well, the wedding went just wonderfully. We got married downtown at the Westgate hotel, and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to get married in the San Diego area. They were so wonderful and helpful throughout the whole process.

Anyway...I (and the Argentinian) couldn't have imagined a day more perfect. We didn't see each other at all before the ceremony, so it was a complete surprise how each other was going to look. Right before walking down the aisle, while standing outside the doors, holding on to my dad's arm, my heart suddenly started beating so fast. I don't know the last time I felt my heart beat so hard. But by the time I reached the end, and was up there with the Argentinian, any nerves had subsided, and I was just so excited. He looked so handsome. The ceremony was nice, not too long, not too short. We couldn't stop smiling and staring in each other's eyes when we got the chance. The whole night went by so quickly, looking back. What was actually 7 or 8 hours felt like 2 hours. I can't wait to see the pictures. So far we have a few from his sister that she took, and those turned out really nice.

- that I didn't take a day or two off right after the wedding to just relax. It would've definitely been nice.

- the resurgence of morning sickness I've been feeling.

- that my life in general couldn't be going any better.
